Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 23, 2026
Crown & Cloak is a living-room party game. We keep data collection to the bare minimum needed to run a game and its history — no accounts, no email, no real identity, no payment information, and no advertising.
What we collect
- A display name you type when you join a room. Use a nickname if you prefer — it's whatever you enter.
- The room code and your in-game actions (votes, picks) needed to run the game.
- Game results — your display name, role, and gameplay stats (wins, points, etc.) — saved to the game history so your record carries across games.
We do not collect emails, phone numbers, accounts, payment details, precise location, or any government ID. The in-game prize amounts are fictional — no real money changes hands.
How it's stored
- Live games run in memory; a short-lived snapshot lets a game survive a server restart and is automatically deleted within about 24 hours.
- Game records (display name + stats) are kept so past games can be reviewed and each player can see their own record.
- Your browser's local storage remembers your room code and name so you can rejoin after a refresh. That stays on your device and is never sold or shared.
No tracking
No analytics, no advertising networks, no third-party trackers, and no tracking cookies. We don't build profiles or sell data — there's nothing to sell.
Family-friendly
This is a game meant to be played together in a room. Please don't enter real personal information as your display name. If a child is playing, a parent should help them pick a nickname.
Changes
We may update this policy as the game evolves; the "last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
